A Tribute to Sharon Donovan

KAREN: Though Sharon Donovan is no longer with us, we will always remember her kindness toward others and her endless courage. KISS OF DEATH is the last story written by this  talented lady.

***CONTEST: For a special tribute to Sharon, I'd like offer to one commenter an Ebook copy of Sharon Donovan's book: Kiss of Death. All you need to do is state you would like to be entered in the contest and leave your contact email. I will choose one winner this evening. Good Luck!

SANTA MUST DIE. The words in Camille Lafayette’s dream are a chilling prelude of events to come. She sees herself as the killer, and when the murder is actually committed, she becomes the prime suspect.

When handsome Detective Oliver Sharone turns up at her New Orleans family home, he is searching for answers. The evidence against her seems damning. An image captured on the victim’s camera resembles Camille, and the red feather mask worn by the murderer came from her shop.

The instant chemistry between Camille and Oliver is an added complication, which grows deeper as they work together to discover the truth. It becomes a race against time to find the real murderer before he not only loses his heart completely, but the killer strikes again. And this time the victim could be Camille herself.

About the Author:
Sharon Donovan lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her family. Prior to the loss of her vision, she was a legal secretary for the Court of Common Pleas where she prepared cases for judges in Domestic Relations. Painting was her passion. When she could no longer paint, she began attending creative writing classes and memoir workshops. After a long and winding road, a new dream arose. Instead of painting her pictures on canvas, Sharon painted her pictures with words.

Sharon was published with The Wild Rose Press, White Rose Publishing, Whimsical Publications and Chicken Soup for the Soul.

I was co-author with Sharon for the anthology Winter Wonders. We heard she was very ill when we were doing the proofs and she died soon after. So I never really got to know her. Such a shame. We were all very saddened by her death

Thank you so much for this lovely post, Karen, and I'm sorry I'm so late coming in - I've only just seen it.

I am priviledged to have been able to call Sharon my friend, in fact she passed away just a month before I was due to fly over to the States and visit her with another close friend, Mary Ricksen. We did get to meet her lovely family though.

'Kiss of Death' is an edge of the seat read and I can thoroughly recommend it.

If anyone would like to vote for it in the P & E Poll, by the way, the link is and her book is about half way down the second group of titles. She actually won the short romance section last year with her other story starring the delicious 'Oliver' 'Charade Of Hearts.' He also stars in 'Kiss Of Death'. It would mean so much to her family if this story were placed as well.

One thing is certain, Sharon will never be forgotten by her many friends and colleagues and her spirit lives on in her work.
