Rosalie Lario is the author of urban fantasy tales and paranormal romances. If you're looking for vampires, demons or other supernatural creatures, look no further. You will fall in love with this author's heroes and heroines. Grab your coffee or your favorite drink of choice and enter her worlds.
Let's give Rosalie a warm welcome. Read on and find out how you can win the first two books
in her Fallen Angels series: For Love of an Angel
and Angel’s Desire. They are both wonderful, not to be missed reads.
Karen: Let’s start with you telling the readers a
little about yourself.
Rosalie: Well, I’m a sucker for a good-to-honest
romance. J To that effect, I’m the
author of two different paranormal romance series. The Fallen Warriors takes place in an alternate reality where
angels rule over humans. The series follows twelve angels, the Fallen, who’ve been cast out of their
society for their attempts to prevent the extinction of humankind. The Demons of Infernum series
follows four half-demon brothers who
work as interdimensional bounty hunters in New York City. It’s sort of like Supernatural with demon protagonists.
Karen: You have two
books available in your The Fallen
Warriors Series. The first book is For
Love of an Angel and the second book is Angel’s
Desire. I enjoyed both of the stories and can’t wait for the next book. How
many books do you have slated for the series?
Rosalie: Thank you! I’ve planned five or six books
for this series, haven’t quite decided yet. Each story is a novella starring
one of the Fallen, complete with HEA,
but there is an overarching series plot.
Karen: The books are
offered in e-book formats. Will they be offered in print, too?
Rosalie: There are no current plans for a print
version, but once the novellas have all been released, they will likely be
packaged into a two-book print anthology.
Karen: What inspired
you to write the series? Why angels?
Rosalie: I thought of The Fallen Warriors when I had just finished writing the first two
books in my Demons of Infernum
series. I really wanted to write a few novellas as sort of a mental break from
the Demons series, and angels seemed
like the perfect counterpoint to writing about demons. But even then I couldn’t
go too good; it’s not in my nature. Hence the birth of the Fallen. They’re the good guys in my series, but they aren’t angelic
in any sense of the word.
Karen: Give the
readers a behind the scenes view of your story. Why are the angels on earth?
Give us an insight to your angel world. How do the angels walk among the
humans? (Explain how their wings appear and disappear. )
Would you recommend the readers to read the books in order?
Rosalie: Angels were thrust onto Earth when the veil
between the dimensions collapsed, destroying their world (we’ll learn a bit
more about what this means as the series progresses). After they were revealed
to humans, angels convinced them to let the angel society assume control over
Earth in exchange for peace and security. Humans are now assigned jobs and
residences, and the angels have done away with money. Instead there are pass
cards with monthly point allotments. It’s supposed to be the ultimate utopia,
but as we’ll learn, it’s anything but. The angels’ view of the perfect world is
one without any humans on it.
Karen: Tell us a little about your Fallen. Who are
these angels? What are they like? Do you have a favorite angel?
Rosalie: The Fallen
are a group of twelve angels who were condemned to die after they protested the
plot to eradicate humans. They managed to escape, and together they aim to stop
the extinction of mankind. But they are vastly outnumbered, and in order to
preserve their immortality they need to find mates, in this case nephilim
(children of angels and humans).
Angels have the ability to absorb their
wings into their body, giving them the allusion of being mortal. But to
nephilim, they give off an unmistakable electric current: it’s their essences
calling to each other.
I think my favorite Fallen is Seth. He’s a total badass, leather pants and all!
Karen: So far both your angels have been my favorites. :) I can't wait to read the other stories. What are your current projects and works in
progress?
Rosalie: My focus for the remainder of this year will
be on the Demons of Infernum series.
Touch of the Angel, #3 in the series, is due to release on December 6, 2011.
Right now I’m writing a novella set in that world and featuring a friend of the
brothers; Heart of the Incubus
releases in January 2012. Finally Call of
the Siren, #4 in the series, releases in July 2012.
As for The
Fallen Warriors, #3 in the series is due to be released in the Spring of
2012.

regular blog. Also look me up on Facebook: www.facebook.com/RosalieLario,

Karen: Is there anything else you’d like to tell
the readers?
Rosalie: If you’re looking for a quick, fun, bedtime
read, check out The Fallen Warriors!
Blurbs:
In a world where angels rule over humans,
twelve outcasts dare to defy expectation, warring with their angel brethren to
prevent the extinction of humankind.
They are The Fallen.
For
Love of an Angel –
Michael
is one of twelve angels who have been outcast due to their determination to
protect humankind. In order to preserve his immortality and strength, he must
find a mate with angel blood. Eva Smyth has never believed the propaganda
spouted by the Consortium—the elite system of guards put into place once angels
took over reign of Earth—but she never expected to learn the angels plan to
eradicate all of humankind, or that she herself is part angel. Joining Michael
means living a life on the run, at war against the angels and hunted by the
Consortium. Eva must decide whether to risk it all…for love of an angel.
Angel’s
Desire –
Fallen angel Ethan has been outcast due to
his love of humankind. In order to preserve his immortality, he must find a
mate with angel blood…but the one woman he desires blames him for her father’s
death. As a teenager, Tayla had a fierce crush on Ethan, her angel father’s
best friend. She was humiliated when he rejected her, claiming she was too
young for him. Her love turned to hate when he failed to save her father from
being killed by the other angels.
Battle looms on the horizon, and Ethan can
no longer afford to waste time. He must claim Tayla as his…but convincing her
she’s his mate won’t be so easy.

Non angelic and bad ass angels sounds positively sinful!! The reviews I have read on your site for this series just makes me want to read them more!
My question is, if there are 12 angels and you are writing 5 or 6 books in this series, will some of the books have more than 1 angel? Or will some not have a book?

Rosalie,
Thanks you so much for being a guest on my blog. I loved your fallen angel stories and can't wait for the next one!!
Gorgeous covers, too.
MNJCarter,
Thanks for joining us.
You asked a great questions. I want to know, too. :)
Hi Rosalie,
Your books sound really good and the covers make you want to peek inside. lol
Are all the Fallen Men or are there Women, too?
I'm popping in to say hi!
MNJ, the Fallen are at war, so *spoiler* I'm afraid not all of them are going to make it. :-(
Karen, thanks for inviting me here today! I agree, the covers are amazing. I'm totally in love with the cover artist, LOL.
Cathy, there are 12 Fallen in total: 10 men and 2 women. All insanely hot. :-)
Those covers are awesome. This series sounds divine. Did you have to do a lot of research about angels? And if so is there anything that you found surprised you? Thanks for the giveaway.
Sue B
I like the fact that their are 12 Fallen Angels who want to save humankind regardless of what happened to them.

So I was also wondering if any of the angels would be female. Since two are it makes me wonder what type of angels they will be. So are you using the standard types of angels or have you come up with your own?
I'm really getting into angels and demons lately :) - thanks.

Rosalie,
Will the women have a story and find hunky half angel men?

Congrats on your book series. You are a new author to me and always looking for new books and authors to check out. I would love to win and read these, they both look great.
My questions for you are: If you could write any genre, other than urban fantasy/paranormal, What would you write? Also do you have any favorite book/author recommendations? Any go to authors that you love, just can't miss their book.
Thanks for the giveaway and the chance to win.

I love reading your books.
What were the biggest hurdles to achieving your writing dreams?
klmc_37@yahoo.com
I love when paranormal writers set up a world with rules that must be obeyed and characters with powers but limitations. It brings such vivid reality and believability to the story. Your stories looks exciting and amazing, Rosalie.
I wish you all the best.
those book sound great and love t he way you did the cover they are great
and would love to read both even if t hey are good or bad

Sue B., thanks! Since I was creating my own mythology, I didn't do an awful lot of research. But with every series, there's definitely a fair amount of it required!
Rita, thanks! I think they're pretty awesome. :-)
Victoria, I love me some angels and demons too. Obviously, LOL. I've made up my very own mythology for my angels. Instead of being biblical creatures, they are actually a species from another dimension. That way I could make them as sexy as I wanted to without worrying about religion. :-)
Cathy, at least one of the women will have a story. The other: who knows? LOL.
Christine, I've got a few contemporary romances floating around in my brain. They've got to wait though. The paranormals are yelling too loudly for me to write them first! As for my fave author, it's Jeaniene Frost hands down. I love everything she's ever written.
Kimmy, great question! I think the biggest hurdle is the not knowing whether your efforts will pay off. It's such a crazy business b/c there's no guarantee you'll ever get published. You just have to have faith in yourself, even if it takes years to get published.
Sarah, thank you!
Desi, thanks for stopping by. :-)
I can't wait to meet Seth! And I'm glad that your angels aren't too good:) I've read the first in your Demons of Infernum series and loved it, so I'm positive I will love your Fallen Angels series too!
Do your Demons and Angels series have any tie-in's to each other or are they completely separate worlds?
Thanks for the great giveaway!

All of your books sound so good. I love the reference to Supernatural when describing the Demons of Infernum series. So my question is have you used Sam or Dean Winchester as inspiration for any of the characters in your books?
drainbamaged.gyzmo at gmail.com
I haven't had the chance to read stories with angels as the heroes yet. These 2 sound cool and I like the fact that they have to find someone with angel blood for a mate. Thanks.

Popping in to announce the winner of the contest. Congrats to...
Christine Bails!
A huge thanks to everyone for dropping by with your comments. A lot of great questions! And to those of you who I haven't gotten back to yet:
Yadkny, the two series are different worlds, each with their own fun mythology. :-)
Kathryn, why yes I have. *grin* Taeg, the hero in Mark of the Sylph, is Dean all the way. And Sam was the inspiration for Ronin, the hero in Touch of the Angel. :-)
Vanessa, I love stories with angels as heroes, especially when they aren't the typical biblical-type angels!
I anticipation of The Fallen Warriors if I had just accomplished autograph the aboriginal two books in my Demons of Infernum series.

Congratulations to Christine Bails!
You are going to love these stories!
Thank you, Rosalie for being a wonderful guest. I wish you the very best!
Thank you readers for coming by and joining us. :)
