HOW ABOUT SOME VIRTUS SAGA FOR DINNER?
Yeah, to spice up the appetite, so to speak. Because things are really hitting off with my new fantasy series, Virtus, which for now features only 2 releases, but a lot more are coming, so you wouldn’t want to miss how it all started, the love, the uncontrollable passion and the woman that came between them.
Sex, sex and more sex without limits or boundaries—not in numbers, not in gender, whether it’s the phase, the pledge or the heat—such is Sendar’s very foundation, an apparently peaceful planet, without the usual pestilences associated with mankind, wars, hunger, violence. But is it really so?
Unknown to most, powerful forces dominate Sendar’s feudal-like society, the ability to wield destructive energy so strong in some people, it’s threatening to devastate their world. But to reach a new balance you have to learn, grow, blend with the world from which you come, then go beyond it before the world collapses into chaos. And that’s what the prince, his lover and his woman must learn to do if sex, power, magic, passion and jealousy won’t stand in their way.

If Sendar stood a chance perhaps it would be thanks to the arbitrary twists and turns of a blind destiny. Or maybe someone would discover the truth about the ancient ways and compromise our peaceful existence forever. Either way, people needed a hero to shed new light on the age-old mysteries. And he was just about to answer their prayers.

The words died in his throat the moment Chris captured his gaze, blue-gray eyes staring straight at him from across the room. In a rush of uncontrollable excitement, Duncan’s mouth went dry as he heard a piece of heart pounding in his ears while the rest plummeted with a heavy thud to his stomach.
Unable to tear his gaze away, he felt the world fade and time turn back to his childhood, at the exact moment he had first laid eyes on his beautiful angel and the flood of long denied emotions was simply too powerful to ignore as they threatened the thin control he tried to maintain.
But it was already too late. Sudden awareness of how much he had missed his blond beauty for the past two years crashed down on Duncan along with every wasted attempt to avoid thinking about him or pretending the world was the same without him.
How foolish to believe, even for one second, my heart could’ve forgotten him. Noticing he looked more beautiful and desirable than ever, the prince hungered only to touch him and make love until he was too exhausted to think straight.
But what if he doesn’t want me anymore? Cold reasoning warned as he remembered how bitter the separation had been, memory taunting him with their last hateful meeting, each bent on hurting the other with a vengeance the prince had regretted soon afterward. Yet, searching his beloved’s face, he could find no trace of rejection in those blue-gray eyes that were still fixed on him—or more correctly, eating him up—while the sensual body was moving closer. “Hello, lover.” The blond angel’s husky voice had breathed, reaching him with a naughty twinkle lighting his face. “Missed me?”
“I can’t even begin to tell you how much.”
“I knew you would.” Chris’s smile of satisfaction brightened his face. Then grabbing his hand, he pulled the prince out of the room. “Come. Let’s go somewhere more private. How about your room?”
Leading him upstairs, Duncan was not surprised to notice many wistful glances in Chris’s direction, his blond angel inevitably attracting attention, apparently now more than ever. Some even attempted to stop him, in spite of his evident lack of interest, Chris having eyes only for Duncan. As in a daze, the prince vaguely remembered reaching his room and closing the world outside.
They did not talk much that night, too concerned in reconnecting at a purely physical level to waste precious time on useless words, which could never describe adequately how Chris filled his senses like no woman had been able to do, satisfying his craving for kisses, touches, strokes, rubs, sucks, slides, shoves, penetrations, releases. The familiar tastes and smells made Duncan feel at home…and not a moment too soon, he realized.

BLURB From now on, I’ll treat you like a slave, a mere thing men and women will use for their pleasure alone. And you are to service whatever player I choose for I want to see how far I can take you, how much you’ll yield to sex for the sake of sex. Because you’re just an object, something they’ll discard as soon as they come, your body useless once they get exactly what they want from it.
“All right, Princess, you want to talk about Chris?” Stopping his seductions, he moved away slightly.
Ylianor blushed brightly. “Only if you want to.” She was quick to justify, trying to pass it off as if it were his idea, quickly turning to avert her gaze from his hard stare.
“I’m not sure I want to. Chris is so private, I’ve never really talked about him to anyone.”
“Especially since he has eyes only for you.”
Catching her disappointed tone, Duncan raised an eyebrow. “He’s getting to you, isn’t he?”
“Don’t lie, Princess.”
Frowning, Ylianor bit her lip. “Is it that obvious?”
“To me, it is. I wouldn’t know what to call it at this stage, but I’m willing to bet it’s something very deep.”
“Do you think he noticed?”
The sly question did not fool him for one moment. After having caught the shift in their attemps to establish a connection of their own, he had realized he had failed to consider the long term consequences of his apparently rash choice. That there was a growing interest on both sides, he could not avoid perceiving, their cautious maneuvers to explore their options unequivocal. What he had not expected though, was to be trapped in the middle of this new game, although he should have seen it coming. He was their go-between after all, the most knowledgeable party at hand, so nothing strange they should turn to him for advice and information. But he did not want to play by their rules. “No, I’m not going to make it easier for you to get to him.” He raised a hand to stop her objections. “Listen to me. I know you’re trying to find a way to him…” And he to you, he added without sharing the thought. “But whatever you need to know, you’ll have to ask him yourself. I can’t betray his confidence or yours for that matter were he to ask.”
“Did he ask?”
The stubborn green gaze made her look more adorable, not to mention more human, and the prince could not resist kissing her passionately before replying. “I won’t answer that. What I share with him is private, for our ears alone.”
“But you shared your sex scenes with me!” Her eyes blazed to remind him just how many times he had done it.
“Only the sex, never our conversations.” One look at her confirmed his assumption. “Sex is not exclusive or we wouldn’t do it with you, too. We may be a bit rougher if alone, but you know our ins and outs in bed. Feelings and emotions though, are a totally different matter, one I’m not going to share except with the interested person.”
With a delightful smirk, Ylianor cocked her head. “Does that mean he’s talked about me?”
“You’re incorrigible, Princess.” Duncan shook his head in amusement, then grinned widely. “And the answer is I don’t know.”
“You defend him, and have done so even when you didn’t know how destructive he could get, only because you love him beyond anything else.”
Duncan winced. “Can it be any other way?”
“Actually, it could. People have the phase all the time, but after it’s over, they don’t keep harboring the same feeling for their partner as before.”
Referring to the phase brought back memories of his beginning with Chris, adolescents in the grip of a fiery passion neither had any control over. Nothing strange though, for it was an age-old tradition and even if some skipped it, like Ylianor for instance, everyone knew and valued its formative experience, not to mention its far reaching bond. “Chris has always been beyond a mere phase. Yes, we had it together, but one thing I’ve always known for sure is I’d have loved him no matter what, his gender, his appearance, nothing counted except who he was. That’s how I choose my mates because they interest me as people first, not because they’re beautiful or brilliant in any way, which also explains why I’m not partial to servants, either.”
